Joey, Liam, Jamie-Leigh, carla and Kitty, dive into some magical and grounding ideas and stories. New terrain for some of us is covered, as we hear about what it means to be multiple. The conversation explores how to thrive amid COVID, vicarious joyful healing through community (in particular through youth), and they each choose their favourite word (for now)! This is the last episode of the Grounded Futures Show in 2020, and it’s a joyful close to the year!
Kitty Sipple is a disabled, white, queer, non-binary femme. Collectively, they are mad and multiple, recognizing that their experience of ‘many in one body’ as an altered state is the lens through which they experience the world. They are deeply connected to supporting interdependent solutions around healing justice and accessibility for the LGBTQIA+ community. From facilitating writing workshops to holding space in peer-led support groups, they are interested in the symbiotic nature of community care. They just graduated from UMN-Twin Cities where they received a BS in Engineering Studies, Holistic Health and Healing, and Plant/Fungal Biology. Kitty lives on the land of the Dakota and the Objiwe people, which is currently called Minneapolis, MN. Kitty uses they/them pronouns.
Our team works alongside youth to co-produce episodes on topics ranging from climate change to identity to how youth can gain new skills to engage meaningfully with current world events. The show will take a deep dive on these issues, and be in conversations with incredible guests! The hosts are Liam Joy, Joey, Jamie-Leigh Gonzales, and carla bergman.
